Vetotop XT537 is a cementitious floor dressing material composed of hydraulic binders, selected hard-wearing aggregates, and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site. Vetotop XT537 is applied by the dry shake method to provide a hard-wearing top surface that bonds monolithically to the concrete flooring. It is ideal for all industrial areas subjected to heavy traffic, such as power stations, heavy industry, agricultural buildings, distillation plants, laboratories, abattoirs, warehouse floors, loading bays, and workshops.
Sprinkle Vetotop XT537 along edges of bays (Approx. 100 mm strips) where expansion and contraction joints will be located first. Float into the surface using a wooden float.
As soon as the concrete is firm enough to support the workman’s weight, apply the first shake of Vetotop XT537. Use up to 2/3 of the total shake mix in the first application. Treat areas adjacent to walls and columns first. Spread the material evenly by sprinkling at right angles in two passes close to floor level.
Allow the applied material to absorb moisture from the concrete surface. Uniform darker color will be apparent.
Using a wooden float, float Vetotop XT537 into the concrete, ensuring the material becomes an integral part of the surface. Follow by the second floating immediately after the first floating. Spread the balance 1/3 of the material, follow promptly with a second floating using wood or aluminum float or power float in case of large areas. A third power floating may follow for added compaction if required.
Vetotop XT537 is a cementitious product. Follow all norms and practices of casting and curing cementitious products, either by covering the surface with water and polyethylene sheets or applying a curing compound. Immediately after removing the polyethylene sheet, sweep the floor to remove any dust or loose particles.
Clean tools with water promptly before material hardens. Hardened material can be mechanically removed.
Premixed 8 to 20mm thick polymer modified cementitious self-leveling underlayment.
