Vetoproof EC761 is a two-component solvent-free tar extended epoxy coating system that adheres perfectly to concrete and metal substrates. Once cured, the product has excellent abrasion and chemical resistance. Vetoproof EC761 provides a hard-wearing and easily cleanable protective coating. Its use on floors, walls, structural elements, and tanks to protect against ingress of contaminants.
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Laitance and weak surface layer shall be removed using mechanical methods such as grinding or blasting to provide a sound, well-profiled surface. Repair all necessary repairs before application by using epoxy mortar from the Vetorep ER range. Pinholes, blowholes, and minor irregularities can be leveled and filled by Vetorep ER350.
New concrete floors shall be at least 28 days old with a moisture content of less than 5% (shall earlier application be required testing of substrate for moisture conditions shall be made).
Blast grit steel substrates to surface quality SA2½ (BS 4232:Second Quality), and application shall occur within 2 to 4 hours after blasting.
Thoroughly stir the individual components of Vetoproof EC761 before the two are mixed. Pour the entire contents of the hardener container into the base container and mix the material thoroughly for at least 3 minutes. The use of a heavy-duty slow speed, flameproof, or air-driven drill fitted with a mixing paddle is desirable.
