Vetotouch Monocouche

UV resistant pigmented premixed plaster.

Vetotouch Monocouche is a cement-based plaster coat composed of hydraulic binders, selected aggregates, special pigments, and high-performance additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site, which requires only the addition of clean water to produce cohesive mortar. Vetotouch Monocouche is a high-quality product and suitable for external applications with marble chips.

Uses

  • Internally or externally in wet & dry conditions onto block walls & rough surfaces.
  • On concrete surfaces that are smooth and also precast concrete surfaces with scratch coat applied first.
  • It can be applied up to 20mm thickness of the single-layer; however, it is recommended for two coat applications of 10 mm each.

Advantages

  • Factory controlled pre-blend ensures consistently high quality.
  • Requires only the addition of water on-site at the time of usage.
  • Uniform color/mass.
  • Improved workability & curing.
  • Easy application with uniform workflow enables high productivity & superior finishing.
  • Strong adhesion on a variety of substrates.
  • Internal & external applications.
  • Shrinkage control reduces surface cracks.
  • Suitable for humid & dry conditions.
  • Suitable for vertical & ceiling surfaces.

Usage Instructions

The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.

Before Vetotouch Monocouche, wet the entire surfaces with clean potable water, and the surface should look damp at the time of Vetotouch Monocouche application.

For manual application, add to the mixing container 7.5-9 liters of water for each 50kg bag of Vetotouch Monocouche, or 9-10.5 liters/50kg bag for machine application. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency.

Leave the mixed material to stand for 10min and briefly remix without adding water.

Prepare the smooth concrete surface by applying a suitable Scratch Coat from Saveto depending on the surface.

For better adhesion to the substrate, add 0.5 Litter of Vetonit Bond 2 to the mixing water for each 50Kg bag or add 1 liter of Vetonit Plastering Bond to the mixing water referenced to the measured powder quantity, then follow the same mixing procedures as described above.

Use the mixed material within 1 hour. Do not add water once the mixed mortar starts to harden.

Apply Vetotouch Monocouche in a single or two coats on the prepared substrate by manual or machine application to achieve the desired thickness of 5-20mm.

Apply the mixed material using a spray machine or hawk & trowel technique. Rod or screed to uniform thickness, not exceeding 20mm for a single coat or 10mm each coat for multiple layers. Press the first layer hard against the surface.

For the second layer, allow the first layer to set partially (60- 120min depending on weather). Apply the second layer as described above.

Water spray the surface if the second layer is carried out the next day.

Cure Vetotouch Monocouche by spraying water evenly on the surfaces of applied materials every 12 hrs for a minimum of 3 days. During hot & dry conditions, allow curing for a minimum of 5-7 days; it will help obtain high mechanical strength.

To protect the final color look, it is recommended to apply one coat of Saveto Vetoseal product range (contact the technical department for advice).

Clean tools with water before the mortar hardens. After the hardening, remove its residuals mechanically only.
