Vetobond PB436 is a modified styrene acrylate copolymer emulsion that is supplied as a ready-to-use white liquid. It is designed to resist hydrolysis & stabilize soil for various requirements (such as the open desert, areas surrounding aircraft runways and highways, construction sites, military depots, etc.).
For best results, substrates about to be treated with Vetobond PB436 must be compacted to the engineer’s required levels & intended use standards before beginning to apply.
Vetobond PB436 can either be diluted by volume up to 1:1 with potable water or used as is (depending on the application requirements).
Do not dilute the PB436 in areas that will receive traffic of any kind. Conversely, for areas that will not be used for traffic, we recommend diluting Vetobond PB436 with potable water at a ratio of 1:1.
To ensure proper product dispersion once diluted with water, use mechanical means (such as a slow-speed mixer, 400 to 500 RPM, and fitted with a suitable mixing paddle) to dilute the product.
The application of Vetobond PB436 is best done by iterative flooding of the substrate using spraying equipment suitable to the size of the application. Subsequent coats (passes) are made once the substrate has absorbed the first coat; generally, 2 to 3 flood coats are recommended.
