Vetocrete HS801
High Strength shotcrete for 3D Panel Systems.
Vetocrete HS801 is a single component polymer modified fibered cementitious high strength Shotcrete for plastering/ rendering applied manually, by plastering machineand and by shotcrete machine, ready to use, and only requires the addition of water on site. Once mixed, the product becomes a pumpable, sprayable mortar designed specifically for reinforced EPS paneling systems to replace the traditional masonry and/or concrete constructions. Vetocrete HS801 is composed of a blend of hydraulic cement, carefully selected and graded aggregates, fibers, and special additives to give it its unique properties.
Uses
- Ideal for polystyrene sandwiching and paneling.
- It is ideal for large vertical and overhead structural repairs.
- It is used for supporting columns and beams.
- It is ideal for new construction projects.
Advantages
- Easy to use, a single component product.
- High physical and mechanical properties.
- Extremely low permeability where it provides reinforcement protection against corrosion and resistance to ingress of contaminants.
- Multidirectional reinforcement, ensuring a high cohesion and decreasing potential cracking due to environmental reasons.
- Non-Shrink properties ensure dimensional repair stability.
- Suitable for internal and external applications.
- Thixotropic properties allow a high build-up in vertical and overhead repairs.
- Very low sag.
Usage Instructions
Surface should be sound and clean. It should be strong enough to receive the material. When using the EPS panels, the reinforcement should be fixed tightly with suitable distance for the panel to carry the high build Vetocrete HS801. For new construction, prepare a steel reinforcement and pump the material until reaching the desired thickness. Use a suitable high to medium pressure pneumatic pump.
Generally, no priming is needed. Only at the panel steel connections and columns, use the Vetoprime CP436 to enhance the adhesion and to protect the steel. For new construction, clean the substrate and steel reinforcement from dirt, rust, or anti-adhering materials.
To ensure proper mixing, use a mechanically powered mixer or a drill fitted with a suitable paddle. Add 8.5-11.5 liters of clean water to a clean container. Then slowly add the powder to the water while mixing continuously with a low-speed mixer/ drill (400-600 rpm). Continue mixing until obtaining a uniform consistency. For large quantities, use a large mechanical drum mixer. Add water to fill 2/3 of the mixer capacity. While mixing, add the powder and follow it by gradually adding the rest of the water until reaching the desired consistency. When using the Plastering Machine, adjust the mixing water flow-meter in between 480 - 600 lit/Hr. keep the machine always full to ensure the right W/ P ratio.
Apply Vetocrete HS801 manually and by plastering spray/ shotcrete machine. to ensure good adhesion with the steel reinforcements and the substrate. Initially, level the surface by using an aluminum rod or steel trowel. Finish the applied material surface within one hour, as the material sets faster than regular plasters and renders.
Vetocrete HS801 is a cementitious based material; therefore, cure it similarly to concrete by continuous watering and covering the surface with polyethylene sheets if possible.
Clean all tools immediately after application by using freshwater. Clean hardened materials mechanically
Apply Vetocrete HS801in a single application for sections up to 20mm thick in overhead applications.
