Usage Instructions

The surface should be sound, clean, and free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt-curing compounds, etc.

Before applying Vetonit Crack Filler, wet the entire surface with clean potable water and allow the surfaces to become damp before starting the application process.

For mechanical mixing, mix 9.5 - 11.0 litres of water and the entire contents of the 25 kg bag of Vetonit Crack Filler. Or 0.57 - 0.66 litres for each 1.5 kg. Use a mechanical plaster mixer or a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle to mix until you achieve a uniform, lump-free consistency.

Leave the mixed material to stand for 10 minutes and briefly remix it without the addition of water. Mix small batch quantities manually until you achieve a homogenous mix.

When required, add 0.5 litres of Vetonit Bond 2 to the mixing water, and accordingly adjust the water requirement for each 25kg bag or 30ml of Vetonit Bond 2 per 1.5kg bag. Follow the same mixing procedure as above.

Use the mixed material within 3 hours (depending on ambient weather; in hot weather, the duration will be less than 3 hours) Do not add water once the mixed material starts to stiffen or harden.

Apply Vetonit Crack Filler in two coats for wide and deeper cracks. Apply Vetonit Crack Filler to the substrate by pressing the filler firmly into the cracks using a flat putty trowel.

After treating cracks with Vetonit Crack Filler, it is recommended to use Vetonit Joint Tape 50mm or 100mm wide. Use alkali-resistant paints or coatings for final decorative finishes.

Vetonit Crack Filler generally may not require curing. However, in extreme weather conditions (T > 45 C° and RH < 50% ), cure Vetonit Crack Filler by spraying the surface with clean water every 8-12 Hrs for a minimum of 2 days.

Clean all tools with water immediately after finishing. Clean hardened materials mechanically.
