Vetoset CA548

High-quality ceramic tile adhesive

Vetoset CA548 is a normal cementitious adhesive with slip resistance properties. It is composed of hydraulic binders, selected aggregates, and special additives and is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags that are ready to use on-site (this only requires adding clean water to produce an easily workable mortar). Vetoset CA548 is ideal for fixing Ceramic and Terrazzo tiles (when applied at a thickness of 3 - 10 mm, depending on the type/quality of both the substrate and the tiles). Vetoset CA548 is available in the colors white and gray.

Usage Instructions

The surface should be sound, clean, and free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compounds, etc. Wet all surfaces (except gypsum boards) with clean water before applying Vetoset CA548. The surface should appear damp with no water pooling.

To prepare a mortar adhesive from Vetoset CA548, pour 14 - 16 liters of water (for each 50 kg bag) into a container.Add the powder to the water then mix with a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until a uniform & lump-free consistency is achieved.

Allow the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes then remix briefly without adding more water.

You can mix Vetoset CA548 manually (for small quantities), however, you must maintain the correct ratio of powder:water. If required, add 0.5 Ltr. of Vetobond AB432 to the mixing water, then add the powder. Use the mixed material within 2.5 hours.

Do not add water to the mixture once the mortar adhesive begins to harden.

Using a notched trowel, spread the mixed Vetoset CA548 mortar adhesive and firmly press it onto the surface. (Spread the mortar adhesive to an area that can be tiled within 10 - 15 minutes).

Place the tiles onto the fresh adhesive mortar and press them firmly then knock them immediately into the desired position. (You can adjust the position of the tiles within the adjustability time of 10 minutes after installation).

The mortar adhesive should not rise between the tile joints higher than half the thickness of the tiles. Allow the installed tiles to remain undisturbed for at least 48 hours.

Note: It is recommended to use one of Vetonit’s Grout Products to fill the joint gaps after 2 days of installing the tile. Contact Saveto’s technical department for more information on that regard, and also regarding the suitable substrates and tiles on which this product can be safely applied.

Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Remove hardened material mechanically
