Water cleanable, chemical resistant waterproof epoxy tile adhesive.
Vetoset EA454 is a three-component epoxy-based, water cleanable, chemical resistant, and waterproofing tile adhesive to be used with most types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, glass mosaic, marble, granite,...etc. The product is composed of 3 components consisting of a resin base, hardener, and selected fillers.
Uses
Laying virtually all types of tiles to cementitious and metal substrates.
The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, or any other substance that might impair the quality of bond with the substrate.
To ensure proper mixing, use a mechanically powered mixer or heavy-duty slow speed drill fitted with a suitable paddle.
Stir the base (component A) and the hardener (Component B) individually to disperse any settlement. Pour the entire contents of the base and hardener into a suitable size container and mix mechanically for 2 minutes. Add the Filler (component C) and mix for another 3 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency.
Apply a thin layer of the adhesive onto the substrate using the flat edge of the trowel. Comb the adhesive with a suitable notched trowel horizontally to achieve a 2 - 6 mm bed thickness. Place the tiles with firm pressure to ensure proper contact with the adhesive.
It is always better to work in a manageable area that can be tiled within the adhesive's open time. Leave the tiled surfaces for 24 hours before grouting.
