Vetotop CL530
Premixed 2 to 10 mm thick cementitious self leveling underlayment.
Vetotop CL530 is a single component cementitious floor self-leveling underlayment composed of special cement, selected aggregates, and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site. Once mixed, it will form a cohesive self smoothening honey-like flowing mortar applied in thicknesses between 2 and 10 mm, giving a super flat finish ready to receive final floor coverings including tiles, carpets, resinous flooring systems, parquet, ...etc.
Uses
- Leveling of concrete slabs before the application of final floor coverings such as tiles and resinous systems.
- As a substrate for vinyl tiles, parquet, carpet, and floor coverings that require super-flat substrates.
Advantages
- Factory-controlled pre-blend ensures consistently high quality.
- Suitable for Middle East harsh weather conditions.
- Easy application enabling high productivity & superior finishing.
- Rapid commissioning and serviceability.
- High bond to the substrate.
- Excellent physical and mechanical properties.
- Shrinkage compensated.
- Excellent workability.
Usage Instructions
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Larger areas can be divided with wooden battens to control the pouring volume and determine the applied layer thickness. Follow the expansion joints in the substrate for segmenting the area under the application.
Priming the substrate is vital. Use Vetoprime PB433 diluted with potable water (ratio of 1:1.5). Mix thoroughly and spray or brush onto the floor without pooling.
Before applying Vetotop CL530, it’s important to leave the primer between 1-2 hours to dry fully. In case of doubt, check the primer dryness by adding drops of water on top of the primer substrate; it should not absorb the water drops.
For single bag mixing, add to the mixing container 4.8 - 5.2 liters of water for each 25kg bag of Vetotop CL530. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3 - 4 minutes, until a uniform, lump-free fluid consistency is achieved.
Do not mix material that can not be applied within 20 min. The mixed material retains flow-ability for about 20 min in room conditions.
Placing should be directly from the mixing container on top of the primed substrate, always start from in to out and narrow areas. It is very necessary to pour the material continuously without any time gaps more than 10 - 15 min between the newly poured and the previous adjacent one, which is to ensure a perfect leveled convergence.
After placing onto the primed surface, assist spreading the material by the leveling smoothing trowel or by a pin gauge rake. Use a suitable spike roll to remove entrapped air if there is any.
Vetotop CL530 is a self-curing product. Protect the applied material from environmental agents such as wind, direct sunlight, dirt, and dust exposure for at least the first 2 hours to ensure smooth leveled hard surfaces.
Clean tools with water before the mortar hardens. After the hardening, remove its residuals mechanically only.
