Vetotop CT533

The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc. Divide larger areas with wooden battens to control the applied layer thickness.

It is vital to prime the substrate. Use Vetoprime PB433 diluted with potable water (in 1:1.5 ratio). Mix thoroughly and spray or brush onto the floor without pooling. 

Before applying Vetotop CT533, it’s essential to leave the primer between 30-60 minutes to dry fully. In case of doubt, check the primer dryness by adding drops of water on top of the primed substrate; it should not absorb the water drops.

For single bag mixing, add to the mixing container 4.25 - 5.0 liters of water for each 25kg bag of Vetotop CT533. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or with a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3 - 4 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency. 

Add the desired Terrazzo aggregate as follows: 

• Aggregate 3mm add to the mix 150%. 
• Aggregate 6 mm add to the mix 100%. 

Conduct more than one trial to reach the desired finish. Try to minimize the water addition to the minimum to get higher strength. Mix small batch quantities manually for approximately 1-2 min, or until achieving a homogenous mix.

Place Vetotop CT533 onto the primed surface; apply by trowel to reach the desired thickness. We advise covering the applied area with a plastic sheet after 2 hours from application to avoid fast-drying.

After 24 hours, the floor will ready for polishing to the final Terrazzo look.

Apply a coat of a clear sealer or surface hardener (Vetotop UC371 or Vetoseal XX777-100) to protect the floor.

Cure 1 - 3 days by sealing off the area. The floor becomes ready for commissioning or topping after 3-5 days.

Clean tools with water before the mortar hardens. After the hardening, remove its residuals mechanically only.
