Premixed cementitious masonry grout
Masonry Grout Filler is a fine grout category as defined by American Concrete Institute (ACI), and composed of portland cement, natural sand, selected fine aggregates, and special additives. The Masonry Grout Filler contains admixtures in accordance with ASTM C 476, C207, C260 to meet the fine grout category. Masonry Grout Filler is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site, which requires only the addition of clean water to produce pourable grout. Masonry Grout Filler is ideal for grouting masonry blocks, masonry units, cores, and also as a filler behind marble slabs, etc..
Masonry Grout Filler is supplied in 50Kg Bag
Yield: 28.8 Lit wet/ (50Kg) bag powder
Stated consumptions data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of the substrate, method of application, and wastage.
An original sealed bag of Masonry Grout Filler has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry shaded place, at temperatures between 5ºC - 35ºC.
Mixing
For the preparation of masonry grout mixture, pour into a container 6.5-8 liters of water for each 50 Kg bag of Masonry Grout Filler.
Slowly add the powder to the water while mixing with an electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 2 minutes. Then continue mixing at medium-high speed for another 2-3 minutes, until a uniform, lump-free pourable consistency mix is achieved. The total mixing time is 4-5 minutes approx. Do not add water to the mix once it starts to stiffen.
Application
Pour the mixed material into the gap between masonry blocks, cement panels, or behind marble or gypsum board within the open time of 30-45 min.
Avoid air entrapment between the gaps while pouring the grout material.
For high lift grouting, the mixed material should be pumped or poured from a height to ensures the desired grout flow so that it spreads smoothly within the gaps.
We recommend the use of a mechanical grout pump for placement of masonry grout as it will give more efficient filling and also help in grout pumping in high rise structures.
Cleaning
All tools should be cleaned immediately after finishing by water. Hardened materials can be cleaned mechanically.
The surface should be sound, clean free from loose materials, grease, laitance, dust, etc.
Masonry Grout Filler is highly alkaline therefore avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application.
