Water & weather resistance.
Suitable for horizontal as well as vertical surfaces.
Vetoset CA542 supplied in 25kg Bag.
Yield: 5.5-6.5m2/ bag
Actual consumption depends on the nature of substrate, method of application, and wastages.
An original sealed bag of Vetoset CA542 has a shelf life of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry, shaded place below 35ºC.
Add to the mixing container 7-8.75 liters of water for each 25kg bag of Vetoset CA542. Add the powder to the water and mix for 3-4 minutes using a low- speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency. Allow the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes and remix briefly without adding further water.
Apply a thin layer of the adhesive onto the substrate using the flat edge of the trowel. Comb the adhesive with a suitable notched trowel horizontally to achieve a 2 - 5 mm bed thickness. Place the tiles with firm pressure to ensure proper contact with the adhesive.
It is always better to work in a manageable area tiled within the adhesive's open time. Leave the tiled surfaces for 24 hours before grouting.
Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Remove the hardened material using mechanical means.
The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, or any other substance that might impair the quality of bond with the substrate.
Concrete, hollow blocks, and cement-based substrates must be sufficiently cured and irrigated by water 1 hour before application.
Vetoset CA542 is highly alkaline; therefore, avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be washed with soap and water. In case of eye irritation, immediately wash with a copious amount of clean cold water. Seek medical advice.
Vetoset CA542 is non-flammable.
