Premixed 20 to 40 mm thick cementitious flowable screed and underlayment
Vetotop CS532 is a single component cementitious floor screed composed of hydraulic binders, silica sand, selected aggregates, and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site; once mixed, it will form a flowable/trowelable mortar applied in thicknesses between 20 and 40 mm.
Vetotop CS532 is supplied in a 50Kg bag.
Yield: 23 - 25 Ltr.
Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of substrate, method of application, and wastage.
The original sealed bag of Vetotop CS532 has a shelf life of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry and shaded place below 35ºC.
Mixing
For the mixture's preparation, pour into a container 6.5-7 liters of water for each 50Kg bag of Vetotop CS532.
Add the powder to the water and mix with a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency. Do not add further water to the mix. Do not add water to the mix once it starts to set.
Application
Pour the mixed product onto the surface and spread to the desired thickness using a steel trowel or suitable tools.
The product can also be pumped using a standard dual-stage mixer and screed pump to the desired thickness.
Ensure the presence of standard control joints as per standard screeding practices; it is recommended to have control joints at 4 x 4 m spacings. Respect the expansion joints as per design standards.
Curing
Cure the screed as per standard concrete curing practices. Do not subject the screed to vehicular traffic for 28 days till ensuring a full cure and the system's ability to withstand designed traffic loads.
A concrete sealer is required for enhancing the screed durability and resistance to water ingress; apply Vetoseal XW777 at a rate of 8 to 12 m2 per liter. Make sure to apply the sealer uniformly, and it is covering all screed surfaces.
Cleaning
Clean tools with water promptly before material hardens. Remove hardened material mechanically.
Surface Preparation
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Priming
Vetotop CS532 can be pumped or laid as a bonded screed by applying Vetobond PB434 slurry to the prepared concrete substrate as a bonding and priming layer. Alternatively, an epoxy bonding agent can be used, such as Vetobond EP430 or Vetobond EP431.
To prepare the slurry primer, mix 1 volume of VetoBond PB434 to 1 volume of clean water with 3 volumes of cement and mix until achieving a smooth consistency. Scrub the mixed slurry into the concrete surface; while the slurry is wet, apply Vetotop CS532 to ensure good adhesion with the substrate.
Vetotop CS532 is highly alkaline; therefore, avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. Vetobond PB434 is a latex emulsion; it is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application.
Any skin contact should be washed with plenty amount of water. In case of eye irritation, immediately wash with a copious amount of clean cold water. Seek medical advice.
Vetotop CS532 is non-flammable.
