Advanced Modified Cementitious Thermal Insulating Plaster
Vetotherm Plaster is a blend of OPC, silica sand, and graded lightweight aggregates plus functional additives for enhancing Workability and adhesion. It can be applied on all surfaces after the proper preparation of the surface. The product provides thermal insulation for building wall sections relying on advanced material technologies.
BS:EN 998-1 CSIII, W1, T1
Cement type: ASTM C150, type1.
Vetotherm Plaster is supplied in 20Kg Bag.
Coverage ≈ 32 lit wet/20 kg dry bag.
Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of substrate, method of application, and wastage.
The original sealed bag of Vetotherm Plaster has a shelf life of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry, shaded place below 25ºC.
Mixing
For manual application, add to the mixing container 6.6 - 7.4 liters of water for each 20 Kg bag of Vetotherm Plaster or 33 - 37% of the machine application weight. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency.
Manual mixing is allowed for small batch quantities. Mix for approximately 1-2 minutes until achieving a homogeneous mix.
Application
Apply Vetotherm Plaster in a single or two coats on rough or smooth surfaces by manual or machine application to achieve the desired thickness of 25-100 mm.
Apply the mixed material using a spray machine or hawk & trowel technique. Rod or screed to uniform thickness, not exceeding 25 mm for a single coat or 25 mm for each coat for multiple layers. Pres the first layer hard against the surface.
For the second layer, allow the first layer to set (60-120min depending on weather) partially. Apply the second layer as described above.
Water spray the surface if the second layer is carried out the next day.
Curing
The best way to cure Vetotherm Plaster is by spraying water evenly on the applied material surfaces every 12 hrs for a minimum of 3 days. During hot & dry conditions, allow curing for a minimum of 5 days; It will help to obtain high mechanical strengths.
Cleaning
Clean all tools immediately after finishing with water. Clean hardened materials mechanically.
The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Before Vetotherm Plaster, wet the entire surface with clean potable water; the surface should look damp at the time of the Vetotherm Plaster application.
Vetotherm Plaster is highly alkaline; therefore, avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be wash with soap & water. In case of eye irritation, immediately wash with a copious amount of cold water. Seek medical advice.
