Water Resistant Patch & Repair Premixed Render
Vetonit Render is a cement-based mortar composed of hydraulic binders, selected sand aggregates, and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site, which requires only the addition of clean water to produce cohesive mortar. Vetonit Render is a high-quality product that contains a shrinkage control additive. It is ideal for patch repair and thick plaster applications, especially in coastal areas. Vetonit Render is available in grey & white.
Vetonit Render is supplied in 50kg Bag.
Consumption:1.2 - 1.4 Kg/m²/mm.
Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of the substrate, method of application, and wastage.
The original sealed bag of Vetonit Render has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry and shaded place.
Mixing
For manual mixing, add to the mixing container 10-11.5 liters of water for each 50 Kg bag of Vetonit Render. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved.
Allow the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes, and remix briefly without adding further water.
Mix small batch quantities manually for approx. 1-2 min or when until achieving a homogenous mix.
Smooth Concrete Surfaces
Add 1-2 liters of Vetonit Bond 2 to the mixing water and adjust the water requirement accordingly for each 50kg bag. Follow the same mixing procedure as described above.
Ensure applying a scratch layer first. Use the mixed material within 2 hours. Do not add water to the mix once the mixed mortar starts to harden.
Application
Apply Vetonit Render in a single layer (3 - 10 mm) or multiple layers up to 20 mm on rough or smooth surfaces to the desired thickness. For multiple application layers, each layer should not exceed 10mm.
Apply the mixed material using the trowel technique, pushing the first layer hard against the substrate; Rod, or screed to a uniform thickness. Immediately follow smoothing the surface, if single-layer repair.
The second layer allows the first layer to partially set (60 - 120 min depending on weather). Apply the second layer as described above to the desired total thickness not exceeding 20 mm.
Apply Vetonit Finish WR or Vetonit Finish WR EG as a finish coat.
Curing
Cure Vetonit Render by spraying the applied material’s surface with water every 12 hrs for a minimum of 3 days. During hot & dry conditions, allow curing for a minimum of 5 days. This will help achieve a uniform color, minimize the risk of surface cracks, and lead to higher mechanical strengths.
Cleaning
Clean all tools with water immediately after finishing. Clean hardened materials mechanically.
The substrate should be sound, clean, and free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Before the Vetonit Render application, wet the entire surfaces with clean potable water, and the surface should look damp at the time of the Vetonit Render application.
Vetonit Render is highly alkaline; therefore, avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be washed with soap & water. In case of eye irritation, immediately wash with a copious amount of clean cold water. Seek medical advice.
Vetonit Render is non-flammable.
