Advanced modified cementitious thermal insulating plaster
Cool Plaster is a blend of OPC, graded sand, and lightweight aggregates plus functional additives for enhancing workability and adhesion. It can be applied on all surfaces after the proper preparation of the surface primed using the Saveto Spatter Dash product range (depends on the substrate). The product provides thermal insulation for building wall sections relying on advanced material technologies.
Excellent thermal insulation properties.
It contains a special additive that reduces friction and prolongs the lifespan of the equipment.
Factory-controlled pre-blend ensures consistently high quality.
Requires only the addition of water on-site at the time of usage.
Uniform color/mass.
Improved workability & curing.
Easy application with uniform workflow enables high productivity & superior finishing.
Strong adhesion on a variety of substrates.
Internal & external applications.
Shrinkage control reduces surface cracks.
Suitable for humid & dry conditions.
BS:EN 998-1 CSII, T2
Cement type: ASTM C150, type 1
ASTM C518
Cool Plaster is supplied in 22kg Bag.
Yield: ≈ 22liter wet/22kg dry bag
Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of the substrate, method of application, and wastage.
The original sealed bag of Cool Plaster has a shelf life of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry, shaded place below 35ºC.
Mixing
Add to the mixing container 7-8 liters of water for each 22kg bag of Cool Plaster. Add the powder to the water while mixing with a mechanical plaster mixer or low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency.
Manual mixing is allowed for small batch quantities, mixing the whole bag with water for approximately 1-2 min or achieving a homogeneous mix.
Smooth Concrete Surfaces
Apply Saveto Spatter Dash product (type depends on the substrate) before the Cool Plaster application on smooth concrete surfaces.
Application
Apply Cool Plaster on the substrate in single or double coats, on rough or smooth surfaces to achieve the desired thickness of 25-50 mm, and not exceeding 25mm per single coat.
Apply the mixed material by using the trowel technique. Press the mixed material hard against the surface. Rod or screed Cool Plaster on the surface to reach the desired uniform thickness, not exceeding 25mm for a single coat or 25mm for each coat for multiple layers.
For the second coat application, allow the first layer to initially set for 60-120 min, depending on weather conditions, then apply a second layer as described above.
Spray water onto the surface if the second layer is to be carried out the next day.
Curing
Cool Plaster is best cured by spraying water every 12 hours evenly on the applied material surfaces for a minimum of 3 days. During hot & dry conditions, allow curing for a minimum of 5 days. It will help to obtain high mechanical strengths.
Cleaning
Clean all tools immediately after finishing with water. Clean hardened materials mechanically.
The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Wet the entire surface with clean water before the Cool Plaster application to neutralize the substrate suction. The surface should look damp at the time of the Cool Plaster application.
Cool Plaster is highly alkaline; therefore, avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be wash with soap & water. In case of eye irritation, immediately wash with a copious amount of cold water. Seek medical advice.
