Single component flexible pure acrylic waterproofing membrane
Vetoproof AM764 is a single component elastomeric water-based acrylic membrane with versatile uses for waterproofing in residential and commercial construction. The product is available in a variety of colors that are extremely stable in extreme weather conditions. Vetoproof AM764 is an all-cross-linking-acrylic making it resistant to yellowing, color fading, and has excellent dirt-pick-up resistance.
Vetoproof AM764 is supplied in 20kg Pails.
Theoretical Coverage - 0.7 - 1.2 kg/m2/coat
Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of substrate, method of application, and wastage.
The original sealed container of Vetoproof AM764 has a shelf life of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry, shaded place below 35ºC.
Application
Apply Vetoproof AM764 by brush, roll, or airless spray machine. Prime porous cementitious surfaces with Vetoprime AP443 at the rate of 5 m²/liter and allow it to dry before applying the first coat. Apply the first coat of Vetoproof AM764 at the rate of 1.2 - 1.9m²/kg and allow it to cure for 4 - 12 hours depending on the ambient temperature.
Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first coat at the same rate above, and allow it to cure.
It is recommended for heavy pedestrian traffic to use fiberglass scrim reinforcement, embedded firmly in the second coat while wet, and a third coat should be applied.
Cleaning
Remove Vetoproof AM764 product from tools, equipment, and mixers with clean water before the initial set. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
All surfaces should be dry and free from contamination, such as oil, grease, loose particles, decayed matter, moss algal growth, laitance, and all traces of mold release oils and curing compounds. This is best achieved by lightly grit-blasting the surface. Where moss, algae, or similar growths have occurred, carried out treatment with a proprietary biocide after the grit-blasting process. Remove spalled and deeply disintegrated concrete to sound concrete and repair it with a Saveto Repair System.
Concrete substrates should be at least 14 days old; bituminous substrates should be 3 to 6 months old before overcoating with Vetoproof AM764.
Vetoproof AM764 contains an acrylic polymer that can be harmful to the skin. During use, avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, eye protection, and respiratory protective equipment. The use of barrier cream provides additional skin protection. In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. In case of contact with the eye, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting.
Vetoproof AM764 is non-flammable.
