Vetoset CA547 is a cementitious mortar adhesive composed of hydraulic binders, selected aggregates and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on site, which requires only addition of clean water to produce easily workable mortar. Vetoset CA547 is suitable to use as dry set fixing mortar particularly for pool, fountain & water tank ceramic wall & floor tiles. Vetoset CA547 is applied in thickness from 3mm to 10mm, depending upon type of tiles and quality of substrate.

Stated consumptions data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of substrate, method of application and wastages extra.
Original sealed container of Vetoset CA547 has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry shaded place below 25ºC.
For the preparation of mortar adhesive, pour into a container 5.4 - 6.4 liters of water for 20 Kg bag of Vetoset CA547. Add the powder to the water and mix with a low speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes, until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved. Allow the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes and remix briefly with no further water to be added.
It can also be blended manually for small quantity but ensure correct amount of powder to water is maintained.
If required, add 0.5Ltr of Saveto Bond 2 to the mixing water followed by addition of powder.
Mixed material can be used within 2 hours.
Do not add water to the mix, once the mortar adhesive starts to harden.
Spread the mixed mortar adhesive and firmly pressed onto the surface to be tiled and work with notched trowel. Spread the mortar adhesive to an area that can be tiled within 10-15 minutes. Tiles are then firmly pressed over the mortar adhesive and immediately knocked into the desired position. Position of the tiles can be adjusted, if required, within its adjustability time of 10-15 minutes after installation. Allow the installed tiles to remain undisturbed for at least 48 hours.
Mortar adhesive must not rise higher in the joints than halfway the thickness of the tiles.
It is recommended to use Vetofill CG552 for filling the joint gaps after 2 days of tile installation.
Tools and equipment can be cleaned with water immediately after use. Hardened materials will require removal by mechanical means.
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, etc.
Wet the all surfaces with clean water prior to the application of Vetoset CA547. Surface should appear damp with no water pooling.
Vetoset CA547 is highly alkaline therefore avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be washed with soap & water. In case of eyes irritation, immediately wash with copious amount of clean cold water. Seek medical advice.
Vetoset CA547 is non-flammable.
