Elastomeric polyurethane liquid applied waterproofing membrane
Vetoproof UM765 is a premium quality pitch extended polyurethane waterproofing membrane, the product is liquid applied that hardens through reaction with atmospheric water vapour to form a highly elastic rubbery jointless membrane that is resistant to aggressive ground water and sewage. The product is available in two grades: UM 765-H and UM765-V for both horizontal and vertical applications respectively. Detailing around pipe entries and corners can be made with UM765-V and can be reinforced with glass fi ber mesh or non-wooven fibers.

Original sealed bag of Vetoproof UM765 has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored in original sealed containers clear of ground in a dry and shaded place below 35ºC.
Vetoproof UM765 use follows the guidelines of EN BS8102:2009 and CIRIA report No. 139 and ASTM guides C1417 nad 898.
Priming is not usually required on good quality concrete substrates. However, for highly porous or absorbant concrete; dilute Vetoproof UM765 at a ratio of 1:1 with Vetonit Solvent XX and use as a prime coat.
Vetoproof UM765 should be applied by brush, trowel or a gaged spreader at a minimum thickness of 1 mm. Use the right grade (H or V) and the thickness can be achieved in one pass. Use Vetoproof UM765-V for detailing works around pipe entries and corners prior to the application of Vetoproof UM765 H. Glass fiber scrim and joint tapes can be used on corners and critical areas for reinforcement of the membrane. Tiling over Vetoproof UM765 is possible, in such cases sharp sand needs to be sprayed over Vetoproof UM765 while still wet, 24 hours later all excess sand is to be removed and a suitable tile adhesive from Saveto range can be used to bond the tiles directly over the membrane.
Vetoproof UM765 must be allowed to cure for a minimum of 24 hours prior to placing protection. Where damage to the membrane is possible; the membrane needs to be protected by a cementitious screed or protection boards. Note: Vetoproof UM765 is not resistant to UV light, in case of external non protected applications use Vetoproof UM766 or UM767. Please refer to product TDS for more information.
All tools employed for the application of Vetoproof UM765 can be cleaned with Vetonit Solvent XX400 before it hardens otherwise mechanical means are needed.
All surfaces where Vetoproof UM765 has to be applied must be clean and have an open capillary system. Eliminate laitance, dirt, grease and other loose materials by means of high pressure water jetting or wet sand blasting. Defective concretes such as cracks and honeycombs, etc. has to be chased out and repaired prior to the application.
Some people are sensitive to resins, hardeners and solvents. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, and eye protection. If working in confined areas, suitable respiratory protective equipment must be used. The use of barrier creams provide additional skin protection. In case of contact with skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medial advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately - Do not induce vomiting.
Vetoproof UM765 is flammable, do not use near to open flames. Refer to product MSDS for further information.
