Sprayable cementitious premixed plastering/rendering material
Premix Plaster S is a cement-based plastering/rendering material composed of hydraulic binders, selected manufactured sand, aggregates, and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in bags/bulk ready to use on-site, which requires only the addition of clean water to produce cohesive mortar. Premix Plaster S is specially designed for application by spray machine. It can be used manually if required, contains a special shrinkage control additive, and provides good adhesion with a uniform color surface.
Premix Plaster S supplied in 50Kg Bag or Bulk.
Yield - 31 Liters.
Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of the substrate, method of application, and wastage.
The original sealed bag of Premix Plaster S has a shelf life of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry, shaded place, at temperatures between 5ºC - 35ºC.
Design Criteria
Premix Plaster S is designed to be used at thicknesses between 10 and 25mm in a single application. The product can be applied on block walls without using a scratch coat as long as the substrate is properly soaked before application.
Mixing
Add to the mixing container 6.5 - 8.5 liters of water for each 50Kg bag of Premix Plaster S. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency.
The recommended water flow rate is 350 - 550 Ltr/hr for the applications that use a plastering machine, depending on the rubber pump's status.
Use the mixed material within 90 min.
Do not add water to the mix once the mixed mortar starts to harden.
Smooth Concrete Surfaces
Apply Spatter Dash SB before the application of Premix Plaster S.
Application
Apply Premix Plaster S in multiple layers on rough or smooth surfaces using a spray machine at a thickness of 10 - 25mm per layer. Apply a Spatter Dash coat on smooth surfaces.
Rod or level to a uniform thickness of 10 - 25 mm.
When the plaster starts to set, smooth the material to the desired appearance.
For multiple layers, follow the practice in ASTM C926, 10 - 15 mm/layer with a rough finish, a cure for two days /layer prior application to the second one. Finish the final layer as desired.
After the surface appears stiff but still moist, smoothen the material surface to achieve the desired appearance.
Curing
Cure Premix Plaster S by spraying water on the surfaces of applied materials every 8-12 hrs for a minimum of 3 days. During hot & dry conditions, allow curing for a minimum of 5 days. It will help to obtain high mechanical strengths and minimize the risk of surface cracks.
The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc. Before Premix Plaster S application, damp the entire surfaces with clean potable water, and the substrate should be neutralized surface at the time of the Premix Plaster S application.
Do not mix with any additives or products unless recommended by Saveto.
Make sure the substrate is suitable for the plaster application. In case of doubt, try on the sample area to assess its suitability or contact a Saveto representative.
Do not apply the product at a temperature lower than +5ºC. During the summer season, the working area must be covered to prevent the ill-effects of direct sun and excessive air-draught during the initial curing stage.
Tools should be cleaned with water before the mortar hardens. After the hardening, its residuals can be removed mechanically only.

Premix Plaster S is highly alkaline; therefore, avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be washed with soap and water. In case of eye irritation, immediately wash with a copious amount of clean cold water. Seek medical advice.
Premix Plaster S is non-flammable.
