Vetogyps Compound is a drywall filling and finishing coat ready to use on-site. Vetogyps Compound is a high quality air-drying compound suitable for the final coating of gypsum board joints, angles and fastener heads when used in conjunction with Vetonit Gypsum Joint compound, setting type for first and second coats.
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, etc.
Allow wet surfaces to dry completely before the putty application.
Keep Vetogyps Compound containers at room temperature for 24 hours before application. Use directly from the container. Stir contents lightly if needed.
Apply Vetogyps Compound over dry gypsum surfaces and gypsum board surfaces either manually or by spray machine. When using Vetogyps Compound for skim coating, work the mixed material to a smooth level using a putty knife. Allow each coat to dry completely before recoating and sanding. Sand Vetogyps Compound surface with care using grit paper. The final coat should be applied to a smooth finish.
Apply compound to both corner sides using a putty knife. Fold tape along the center crease. Press into position. Embed tape with a putty knife. Remove excess compound and apply a thin coat over the tape. Let dry and apply a second coat on one side. Let dry and then cover the other side. When dry, sponge smooth if necessary.
Vetogyps Compound is self-drying and does not require water treatment.
Clean all tools should immediately after finishing with water. Clean hardened materials mechanically.
