Vetoset CA541 is a cement based thick-bed tile adhesive that works with most types of tiles and flexible substrates. The product is composed of a blend of cement, carefully selected aggregates, special additives, and polymers that provide Vetoset CA541 with its unique properties. The product is suitable for internal as well as external use.
The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, or any other substance that might impair bond quality with the substrate.
To prepare mortar adhesive, pour into a container 8.5 - 10 liters of water for each 50 Kg bag of Vetoset CA541.
Add the powder to the water and mix using a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency. Allow the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes and remix briefly without adding further water.
Apply a layer of the adhesive onto the substrate using the flat edge of the trowel. Comb the adhesive with a suitable notched trowel horizontally to achieve a 10-20 mm bed thickness. Place the tiles with firm pressure to ensure proper contact with the adhesive.
It is always better to work in a manageable area tiled within the adhesive’s open time. Leave the tiled surfaces for 24 hours before grouting.
