Vetoset CA545 is a two-component cement-based professional grade highly deformable tile adhesive that works with most tiles and flexible substrates. The product is composed of a blend of cement, carefully selected aggregates, special additives, and polymers that provide Vetoset CA545 with its unique properties. The product is suitable for internal and external use, including submerged conditions such as swimming pools and water reservoirs.
The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, or any other substance that might impair bond quality with the substrate.
Concrete, hollow blocks, and cement-based substrates must be sufficiently cured and irrigated by water 1 hour before application. Gypsum boards, plasterboards, anhydrite screeds must be sufficiently dry and free from dust.
Add to the mixing container the 7 liters liquid part of Vetoset CA545 to 20Kg bag of Vetoset CA545. Add the powder to the liquid and mix with a mechanical mixer or low-speed heavy-duty electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency.
Apply a thin layer of the adhesive onto the substrate using the flat edge of the trowel. Comb the adhesive with a suitable notched trowel to achieve a bed thickness of 2 - 6 mm. Place the tiles with firm pressure to ensure proper contact with the adhesive.
It is always better to work in a manageable area that can be tiled within the adhesive’s open time. Leave the tiled surfaces for 24 hours before grouting.
Note: The adhesive bed’s thickness is directly proportional to the size and thickness of the tile.
