The substrate should be sound, clean, and free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, or any other substance that might impair the product’s bond quality with the substrate. 

In case of asphalt or concrete use industrial-grade vacuum cleaners and mechanical brushes to thoroughly clean the surface. If necessary, degrease the surface using appropriate cleaning agents to eliminate stubborn grease or oil stains. 

Ensure the substrate is completely dry before application to prevent moisture-related bonding failures. Rising humidity or residual moisture in the substrate can affect the curing process of the material.

Vetonit Sport UC374 can be applied using a short-haired mohair roller, or airless spray. For spray applications, the nozzle must be suitable for coatings with a maximum particle size of 100 microns. 

The product is applied in two crossed layers to ensure even coverage. The first layer must be allowed to dry before applying the second layer, ensuring the drying time is within the specified limit (up to 24 hours under low temperature conditions or 3-6 hours in high-temperature conditions, depending on environmental factors such as temperature and humidity). 

After the application of the first layer, the surface must be lightly sanded to restore its smoothness and cleanliness, given the applied topcoat exceeds 24 hours’ time frame. Proper cleaning and preparation are essential to ensure strong adhesion for the subsequent layer of Vetonit Sport UC374.

The curing duration varies based on environmental factors and weather conditions. At a temperature of 25°C and 60% relative humidity, the curing time is approximately 9 to 12 hours.

All tools should be thoroughly washed and cleaned immediately after use with clean water.
