Vetonit Grout Fine

Professional-grade, cementitious, non-sanded tile grout.

Vetonit Grout Fine is an enhanced cementitious grout with reduced water absorption and high abrasion resistance (as per ISO-13007-3 class CG2 WA). It can be used with most types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, glass mosaic, marble, and granite, among others. The product is a blend of cement, special additives, selected fillers, and polymers. Once mixed with water, the product becomes an easily workable creamy mortar.

Uses

  • Filling joints in virtually all types of tiles with gaps between 2 and 8 mm in thickness.
  • Commercial and residential buildings such as shopping malls, office buildings, palaces, and mansions.
  • Wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Filling glass block joints.

Advantages

  • A single-component product that is easy to apply.
  • Excellent mechanical and physical properties.
  • Highly adhesive.
  • High abrasion resistance.
  • Low water permeability.
  • Suitable for internal and external applications.
  • Suitable for application on horizontal and vertical surfaces.
  • Environmentally friendly (Low VOC).

Usage Instructions

Tile adhesive thickness should not exceed half the thickness of the tile pieces. Excess mortar should be removed. All the joints should be free from dust, loose materials & traces of foreign materials, etc. Neutralise the tiles’ water absorption by applying clean potable water. Do not let water pool in the joints.

Pour 6.5–7.5 liters of fresh, clean water into a suitably sized mixing vessel. Slowly add 20 kg of Grout Fine while mixing with a mixer fitted with a suitable paddle. Continue mixing until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved.

Important Notes: Do not mix partial quantities unless an exact proportion based on volume can be achieved using proper measuring tools. Use the mixed material within 1 hour. Do not add water to the mixture once the mortar grout begins to harden.

Apply Vetonit Grout Fine using either a rubber blade, a grouting trowel, a rubber spatula, or a sponge. Spread the mixed grout diagonally across the tile joints and firmly press it with a rubbing pad covered with a sponge or a rubber spatula to ensure filling all the gaps. Remove excess grout on tiles using the same tool. After 15 - 30 minutes, the grout should be initially dry, depending on the ambient temperature & humidity. Clean the tiles and remove all excess material with a damp sponge. After full drying, clean the surface of the tiles with a dry cloth or disposable cotton towels. When washing & drying the tiles, avoid rubbing the tile joints too deep. Moist the grout from time to time for the first 2 days after applying the mortar to ensure optimal hardening.
