Instructions for use

For mechanical mixing add to the mixing container 9.5-11.0 liters of water for each 25Kg bag of Vetonit Crack Filler or 0.57-0.66 litres/1.5kg small bag. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer, or mix by using a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes, until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency.

Leave the mixed material to stand for 10 min and briefly remix without the addition of water. Mix small batch quantities manually for approx. 1-2 min or until achieving a homogenous mix.

When required, add 0.5 liters of Vetonit Bond 2 to the mixing water, and accordingly adjust the water requirement for each 25kg bag, or 30ml of Vetonit Bond 2 per 1.5kg bag. Follow the same mixing procedure as above.

Use the mixed material within 2 hours.

Do not add water once the mixed material starts to stiffen or harden.

Apply Vetonit Crack Filler in two coats for wide and deeper cracks.

Apply Vetonit Crack Filler to the substrate by pressing the filler firmly into the cracks by using a flat putty trowel.

Use Vetonit Joint Tape to cover the treated surface after filling the cracks. For better adhesion, use Vetonit Bond 2 during fixing the tape. Use alkali-resistant paints and coatings as a final decorative finish.

Vetonit crack filler generally may not require curing. However, in extreme weather conditions (T > 45 C° and RH < 50% ), cure Vetonit crack filler by spraying the surface with clean water every 8-12 Hrs, for a minimum of 2 days.

Clean all the tools immediately after finishing by water. Clean hardened materials mechanically.

Surface Preparation

The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
