UV resistant trafficable polyurethane coating
Vetotop UC370 is a two-component, low viscosity acrylic urethane topcoat. It is used as UV resistant sealer over concrete and the range of VetoFloor epoxy and polyurethane flooring & coating systems. Vetotop UC370 is recommended as a topcoat for steel substrates after the mandatory priming by Vetoprime EP390. Vetotop UC370 is UV stable for exterior applications, cures rapidly, and the sealed system is ideal for all-weather exposure. Vetotop UC370 gives a hard, glossy surface that offers excellent stain resistance and easy cleanability when used as a finish coat. Vetotop UC370 is supplied in a pack size of 4 & 15 liters kit consist of Resin & Hardener.
Vetotop UC370 is supplied in 4 & 15 Liters Kit. Theoretical Coverage - 7 m2/Liter.
Vetoprime EP491 supplied in 4 Liters Kit. Theoretical Coverage - 8 m2/Liter.
Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of substrate, method of application, and wastage.
In the case of using antislip aggregates, the consumption values for the topcoat will increase by 15 - 40%.
The original sealed kit of Vetotop UC370 has a shelf life of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry and shaded place below 35ºC.
Mixing Vetotop UC370
In a separate mixing vessel, use a slow speed mixer to mix the base, hardener for 3 minutes. Mix these components in the quantities supplied, ensuring that all containers are scraped clean. Do not add solvent thinners at any time.
Apply Vetotop UC370 by roller or airless spray to the surface. Spray Vetotop UC370 at a thickness of 125-150 micron (50% solids), so the application coverage rate should be at 7 m2/liter per coat.
The application should not be carried out when humidity exceeds 85% or when the surface temperature to be coated less than 3°C above the dew point.
Vetotop UC370 can be applied as a single coat or multi-coat sandwich system incorporating Vetograin products to give a slip-resistant finish.

Re-coating time is 24h max if temp >25°C.
Expansion joints in the existing substrate must be retained and continued through the Vetotop UC370 topping. Saveto has a range of joint sealants specifically designed for flooring (see Vetoflex PS782 product data sheet).
Clean tools and equipment with Vetonit Solvent XX300 immediately after use.
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Laitance and weak surface layer shall be removed using mechanical methods such as grinding or blasting to provide a sound, well-profiled surface. Repair all necessary areas before application by using epoxy mortar from the Vetorep ER range.
New concrete floors shall be at least 28 days old with a moisture content of less than 5% (shall earlier application be required testing of substrate for moisture conditions shall be made).
Vetotop UC370 is designed to be applied by roller or airless spray in two or more coats at a thickness of 100 microns per coat (DFT). The product is designed to resist ultraviolet rays (UV) while being trafficable and abrasion-resistant.
Vetotop UC370 is irritant and harmful; therefore, avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. In case of contact with eyes, clean immediately with plenty of clean cold water and seek medical advice.
Ensure adequate ventilation when using a product or when using a solvent for cleaning purposes and avoid inhalation of vapors.
The use of barrier creams provides additional skin protection. In case of contact with skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately - Do not induce vomiting.
Vetotop UC370 and Vetonit Solvent XX300 are flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition. No Smoking. In the event of a fire, extinguish with CO2 or foam.
