Single component cementitious fairing coat
Vetorep CR523 is a single component polymer modified cementitious fairing coat that is ready to use and only requires adding water on site. Once Vetorep CR523 is mixed, the product becomes a smooth paste used to repair surface imperfections up to 3mm thickness while being compatible with host concrete. Vetorep CR523 is composed of a blend of hydraulic cement, carefully selected fine fillers, and special additives to give it its unique properties.
Vetorep CR523 is supplied in a 25Kg bag.
Yield: 18 Liters.
Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of substrate, method of application, and wastage.
The original sealed bag of Vetorep CR523 has a shelf life of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry and shaded temperature-controlled place less than 35ºC.
To ensure proper mixing, use a mechanical power mixer or drill fitted with a suitable paddle. However, for small quantities, Vetorep CR523 can be hand mixed using the proper tools and bucket.
Pour 7 - 8.5 liter of fresh water into a clean container, then add the powder slowly to the water while mixing continuously with a low-speed mixer/drill (400 - 600 rpm). Continue mixing for 3 minutes until obtaining a uniform consistency. Leave the mixture for 5 - 10 minutes to mature and then remix for 30 - 60 seconds without adding further water.
To enhance the scratch resistance of Vetorep CR523, we advise adding Vetobond PB434. Consult your Saveto representative for further information.
Placing and Finishing
Apply Vetorep CR523 by using a steel trowel. Apply the mixed mortar to the prepared substrates up to a thickness of 3mm. Allow the applied mortar to stiffen before trowelling to a smooth finish.
Blowhole or bug holes might have a larger size, so to ensure the well filling and the right repair of the hole (if it is more the 5mm deep and wide), fill the cavities gradually.
Vetorep CR523 does not require curing in normal ambient conditions. In harsh weather conditions, such as high wind and temperatures, it is recommended to cure it with Vetobond AB432.
All surfaces should be clean, sound, and uncontaminated before the application of Vetorep CR523. Clean the prepared area thoroughly by using a brush and/or compressed air. Soak the prepared with water immediately before the application of Vetorep CR523.
Vetorep CR523 Contains resins that may cause sensitization by skin contact. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid inhaling the vapor. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, and eye/face protection. Barrier creams provide additional skin protection. Should accidental skin contact occur, remove immediately with a resin-removing cream, followed by soap and water. Do not use solvent. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water, and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
Vetorep CR523 is non-flammable.
