Vetonit Finish WR EG

Water-resistant, premixed smooth cement coating for external use.

Vetonit Finish WR EG is a cement-based smooth finishing coat composed of hydraulic binders, fine fillers, and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site requiring only the addition of clean water to produce easily workable material. Vetonit Finish WR EG is a premium multi-purpose product. It can be used as a finish coat for Vetonit Base WR EG. It is generally recommended to apply Vetonit Finish WR EG in layers that are 1 - 3 mm thick.

Usage Instructions

The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt-curing compounds, etc. Before applying Vetonit Finish WR EG. Wet the entire surface with clean potable water. The surface should look damp at the time of application.

Internal Block Walls & Rough Surfaces 

For manual application, add 9.7 - 11.25 litres of water for each 25 kg bag of Vetonit Finish WR EG to a mixing container. For spray machine application, use 12.0 - 14.0 litres of water for each 25 kg bag. Mix with a mechanical mixer or use a lowspeed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle. Mix until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved. Allow the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes then remix briefly without adding more water.

Smooth Concrete Surfaces 

Add 0.5 litres of Vetonit Bond 2 to mixing water. Adjust the water requirement accordingly for each 25 kg bag of Vetonit Finish WR EG. Follow the same mixing procedure as described above.

Use the mixed material within 3 hours (depending on surrounding weather, in hot conditions it will be less than 3). Do not add water to the mix once the mixed mortar begins to harden.

Apply Vetonit Finish WR EG mechanically by using a hopper gun or apply manually by using plastering tools. Apply in multiple layers provided each layer thickness does not exceed 1mm, and achieve the desired thickness of 1 - 3 mm for all layers depending on the substrate surface.

To obtain different grades of finish textures, select different gun nozzle sizes, or vary the spraying distance. Do not disturb the applied material for at least 48 hours.

Cure Vetonit Finish WR EG by spraying the applied material’s surface with water every 12 hours for a minimum of 3 days. During hot & dry conditions, allow curing for a minimum of 5 days. This will help achieve a uniform colour, minimise the risk of surface cracks, and lead to higher mechanical strengths.

Clean all tools with water immediately after finishing. Clean hardened materials mechanically.
