Putty Fine is a water-based putty. It is supplied as a wet putty in pre-weighed pails ready to use on-site. vetonit Putty Fine is a high-quality product that is used as a thin underlayment to repair undulations. It provides a very smooth surface finish that is ideal for subsequent application of paint & decorative coatings. Generally, Vetonit Putty Fine can be applied in a maximum thickness of 0.7 mm.
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc. For previously painted surfaces, remove the old paint before the application of Putty Fine. Allow wet surfaces to dry completely before the putty application.
Generally, apply Vetonit Putty Fine in single or double coats. Apply Vetonit Putty Fine to the substrate by pressing the putty firmly. Use a flat trowel to work the mixed material to a smooth level. Once the first coat dries, apply a second coat as necessary.
After applying Vetonit Putty Fine, it is recommended to apply one coat of alkali-resistant primer followed by two coats of acrylic emulsion paint or other suitable coatings.
Putty Fine is self-drying and does not require water treatment.
Clean all tools immediately after finishing with water. As for the hardened materials, clean them mechanically.
