Vetofill CG551 is a single component cement-based polymer modified anti-microbial and water-resistant tile grout used with most types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, glass mosaic, marble, granite,...etc. The product is composed of a blend of cement, special additives, and selected fillers. Once mixed with water, the product becomes an easily workable creamy mortar. The product is suitable for internal and external use and contains special biocides that kill biological agents and prevent bacterial and algae growth.
Remove all tile adhesive excess that is at a level higher than half of the tile thickness.
All the joints should be free from dust, loose materials & traces of foreign materials, etc. Neutralize the tiles' water absorption by applying clean potable water.
Do not leave water pooling in the joints.
Add 6 to 7.2 Liters of fresh, clean water to a suitably sized mixing vessel. Slowly add the powder component while mixing using a mixer fitted with a Saveto suitable paddle for 3 to 5 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency. Allow the mixed material to mature for about 10 minutes and remix briefly.
Important Note: Do not mix partial quantities unless an exact proportion based on volume can be achieved using proper tools.
If performance enhancement is required, add 0.5 liters of Vetobond PB434 to the mixing water, followed by powder's addition.
Use the mixed material within 4 hours.
Do not add water to the mixture once the mortar grout starts to harden.
Spread the mixed grout diagonally across the tile joints and firmly press it with a rubbing pad covered with a sponge rubber spatula to ensure filling all the gaps.
Remove excess grout that remains on tiles using the same tool.
After the grout initially dries, from 20-30 minutes, depends on the ambient temperature & humidity, clean the tiles and remove all excess material with a wet sponge. After full drying, clean the surface of the tiles with a dry cloth or dispensable cotton towels.
When washing & drying the tiles, ensure not to rub the tile joints too deep.
Keep the grout moist for the first 2 days after application to ensure achieving good hardened properties.
Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened materials will require removal by mechanical means.
