Vetoprime AP443

Water repellant and anti-chloride primer.

Vetoprime AP443 is a multi-grade surface sealer and hardener for concrete, masonry and natural stone. Vetoprime AP443 versatility allows it to be used in various applications in brick work and on block, concrete, masonry, limebased elements, cement boards, mineral plasters, and natural and artificial stone conglomerates.

Uses

  • As a primer and a sealer for anti-carbonation systems (Like Vetotop AC441 topcoat).
  • To enhance the strength of weak lime-stone and masonry surfaces to receive resinous toppings.
  • As a dust proofer for cementitious surfaces.
  • To seal highly porous cementitious substrates.
  • It creates a durable seal for stamped concrete.

Advantages

  • Anti-carbonation primer and sealer.
  • Excellent protection against efflorescence and water damage.
  • Single-component (can be easily applied by brush, roller, or spray).
  • Versatile applications for a large number of coating materials and sealants.
  • Designed for highly porous and weak surfaces.
  • High wetting properties.
  • Specifically designed for natural stone present in the MENA region.
  • Cost-effective.
  • Suitable for the weathering conditions of the MENA region.

Usage Instructions

The surface must be sound and thoroughly cleaned before Vetoprime AP443 is applied. All loose particles, old mortar, laitance, dirt, paint, etc., must be brushed off completely with a stiff/wire brush or other suitable means.

Fungi or Algae should be scoured away using a hypochlorite-type bleach or a proprietary fungicidal solution. Then the surface must be washed with water. Remove all traces of oil and grease with an industrialgrade chemical degreaser or any suitable degreasing agent.

Vetoprime AP443 is used as a penetrating sealer/primer for stone, concrete, and cement-based products. Vetoseal AP443 will reduce/eliminate water and chloride penetration and efflorescence. The sealer is also used to densify weak stone & masonry products.

Ensure that two flood coats (spray, roller, or brush applied) are applied at a rate of 0.7 m²/liter/coat @ 50 microns thickness. Allow for a 2-hour interval between them.

Clean equipment & tools using Vetonit Solvent XX400 immediately after use. In case of residual or cured material, use mechanical means such as a wire brush.
