The substrate should be sound, clean, and free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, or any other substance that might impair the product’s bond quality with the substrate. 

For proper adhesion, any weak surface layers such as cement grout or bright screed should be removed using mechanical methods such as sandblasting, grinding, or shot blasting. Surface roughening is required to enhance adhesion. Clean all dust and residues using an industrial vacuum cleaner. 

If there is a risk of rising damp, a suitable moisture barrier should be applied to protect the system from moisturerelated failures. 

New concrete surfaces must have a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm2 and a pull-off strength of at least 1.5 N/mm2. Concrete must be at least 28 days old and have a moisture content of ≤5-6% before application.

Vetonit Sport UB337 is supplied as a single-component product ready for on-site use. To ensure uniform consistency before application, inspect the material for any settlement or separation. Stir the binder thoroughly using a mechanical stirrer or hand mixer for consistent product dispersion, if necessary.

Apply Vetonit Sport UB337 and Vetonit Sport SBR Granules rubber mixture evenly to the prepared substrate using 3 mm V-notched trowel or screed bar. Immediately pour the wet mix of SBR rubber granules and Vetonit Sport UB337 while the mixture remains fresh to ensure optimal bonding. Within 1 hour of installation, roll over the applied flooring using a suitable roller, or compact the loose particles of rubber mixture using a tamping trowel to establish full contact with the binder, eliminate trapped air, and ensure a tight fit. Apply consistent and uniform pressure across the surface to promote strong adhesion and ensure even distribution of the rubber mixture. The application must be carried out under dry conditions, with the substrate completely free from moisture, dust, and any contaminants that could compromise adhesion performance. 

Note: The relative humidity of the air must not exceed 75%, and both the ambient and substrate temperatures should be maintained within the range of +10°C to +35°C during application. 

For outdoor applications, ensure that no rainfall occurs 24 hours before, during, or 24 hours after the installation to prevent adhesion issues. Additionally, the surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point to avoid condensation and ensure optimal bonding conditions.

At 25°C, the applied surface can withstand light foot traffic after 6 hours. Full curing is achieved within 48 hours under normal conditions and may go up to 72 hours depending on the environmental conditions. During the curing process, the surface must be protected from water exposure, heavy loads, and mechanical stress to ensure proper adhesion and durability. 

For outdoor applications, it is essential to keep the surface dry for at least 24 hours before and after application to prevent adhesion failures.

All tools should be cleaned with Vetonit Solvent XX400 immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
