Polymeric soil stabilizer
Vetobond PB436 is a modified styrene acrylate copolymer emulsion which is supplied as a ready to use white milky liquid. It is designed to resist hydrolysiand stabilize soil for various requirements such as the open desert, areas surrounding aircraft runways and highways, construction sites, military depots,...etc.
Vetobond PB436 supplied in 20, 200 Liter containers
Coverage - As required
Original sealed container of Vetobond PB436 has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry shaded place below 35ºC.
Vetobond PB436 is designed to withstand tropical middle east and north africa climate conditions. The product is ready to use and can be diluted up to 1:2 with potable water depending on application conditions. Vetobond PB436 application and dilution rates vary depending on required use
Dilution & Application
Vetobond PB436 can be diluted by volume up to 1:50 with potable water, for general use purposes the recomended dulution is 1:6 with potable clean water with a maximum solids content of 20,000 ppm of mineral salts.
Use mechanical means to dilute the product such as a slow speed mixer (400 to 500 RPM) fited with a suitable mixing paddle to ensure proper dispersion of the product once diluted with water. The application of Vetobond PB436 is by iterative flooding of the substrate using spray equipment of suitable nature to the size of application. Subsequent coats (passes) are made once the first coat has been absorbed by the substrate, generally 2 to 3 flood coats are recomended. The coverage rates vary depending on use and type of soil to be stabilized.
For best results, substrates to be treated need to be compacted to the engineers required levels and intended use standards prior to application of Vetobond PB436.
Though Vetobond is not classified as hazardous, some people may be sensetive to acrylic based polymers.
Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protective equipment. The use of barrier creams provide additional skin protection. In case of contact with skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. In case of contact with eye, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting.
Vetobond PB436 is not flamable.
