Vetogyps Compound is a drywall filling and finishing coat ready-to-use on-site. Vetogyps Compound is a high quality air-drying compound suitable for the final coating of gypsum board joints, angles and fastener heads when used in conjunction with Vetonit Gypsum Joint compound.
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, etc.
Allow wet surfaces to dry completely before the Vetogyps Compound application.
Keep Vetogyps Compound containers at room temperature for 24 hours before application. Use directly from the container. Stir contents lightly if needed.
Apply Vetogyps Compound over dry gypsum surfaces and gypsum board surfaces either manually using a trowel or putty knife. When using Vetogyps Compound for skim coating, apply an even layer, working it to a smooth level surface using a putty knife. Allow each coat to dry completely before recoating and sanding. Sand Vetogyps Compound surface with care using 180 grit paper. The final coat should be applied to a smooth finish.
Apply compound to both corner sides using a putty knife. Fold tape along the center crease. Press into position. Embed tape with a putty knife. Remove excess compound and apply a thin coat over the tape. Let dry and apply a second coat on one side. Let dry and then cover the other side. When dry, sponge smooth in case of imperfections or uneven surfaces.
Vetogyps Compound is self-drying and does not require water treatment.
Clean all tools immediately after using with water. Remove any hardened material use mechanical methods.
