Vetotherm Mesh is a range of ready-to-use thin glass fiber meshes used with wall coatings and cladding, including external thermal insulation systems ETICS / EIFS as a reinforcement and impact resistance against the crack formation, and it provides a high tensile strength composite system. The range includes various weights and opening sizes depending on the project and engineer’s requirements.
All suitable substrates must be smooth, structurally sound, and free of any substance that could prevent adhesion.
Do not use chemical means (acid etching or stripping) to prepare approved substrates. Use mechanical methods only.
To remove any bond-inhibiting materials, concrete substrates should be mechanically cleaned and prepared by diamond-cup grinding or other engineer-approved methods to obtain the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) concrete surface pro le (CSP) of #2. When concrete requires more mechanical preparation, the profile will typically increase. In such cases, the surface can be made smooth by applying coats of a Saveto Vetorep range of products.
Consult Vetoproof range Technical Data Sheets of individual waterproofing products for other important surface preparation instructions. For other details contact Saveto Technical Services Department.
Embed Vetotherm mesh into the upper third of the body or topcoat.
Always allow for a 10 cm overlap between rolls.
Apply Vetotherm Mesh at corners and window reveals where necessary. Prepare a diagonal reinforcement on building openings with angles or Vetotherm Mesh with minimum dimensions 20 x 40 cm.
Use aluminum rollers to compact the mesh into place. Handle the mesh with care to prevent damage during application.
Consult with individual product technical datasheet requirements for Vetotherm Mesh usage.
