Stainless Grout

Weather-resistant, stainless, and smooth tile jointing grout

Stainless Grout is an improved cementitious grout with additional characteristics of reduced water adsorption and high abrasion resistance. The polymer-modified product is composed of hydraulic binders, selected aggregates, and special additives. And it is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags that are ready to use on-site (this only requires the addition of clean water to produce easily workable mortar). Stainless grout eliminates the need for a sealer. And it’s recommended to apply it at a thickness of 2 - 4 mm for wall tiles, and 3 - 8 mm for floor tiles.

Uses

  • Grouting wall and floor joints (subjected to the varying range of dry or humid conditions).
  • Compatible with Vetonit’s tile adhesive range
  • Suitable for use with most types of tile (such as Ceramic, Porcelain, Terrazzo, and Marble Tile Joints)

Advantages

  • Requires only the addition of water on-site at the time of use.
  • Factory controlled pre-blend ensures consistently high quality.
  • Requires only the addition of water on-site at the time of usage.
  • Easy tile installation (this enables high productivity).

  • Excellent bonding on a variety of ceramic tiles available in the local market.
  • Weather-resistant.
  • Suitable for internal & external applications.
  • Suitable for horizontal & vertical surfaces.

Usage Instructions

Remove all tile adhesive excess that is at a level higher than half of the tile thickness. All the joints should be free from dust, loose particles and traces of foreign materials, etc. Neutralize the tiles’ water absorption by applying clean potable water. Do not leave water pooling in the joints>

To prepare a mortar from Stainless Grout, pour 5 - 6.4 Liters of water for each 20 kg bag of Vetonit Stainless Grout into a container. Add the powder then mix with a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until a uniform and lump-free consistency is achieved. Remix briefly without adding water.

Blend Vetonit Stainless Grout manually for small quantities but make sure you maintain the correct mixing ratio of powder:water.

If required, add 0.5 Ltr of Vetonit Bond 2 to the mixing water, followed by powder’s addition. Use the mixed material within 1 hour.

Do not add water to the mixture once the mortar grout begins to harden.

Apply Vetonit Stainless Grout using either a rubber blade, a grouting trowel, a rubber spatula, or a sponge.

Spread the mixed grout diagonally across the tile joints and firmly press it with a rubbing pad covered with a sponge rubber spatula to ensure all the gaps are filled. Remove any excess grout using the same tool.

After the grout initially dries (from 15 - 30 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature and humidity), clean the tiles and remove all excess material with a wet sponge.

After fully drying, clean the surface of the tiles with a dry cloth or disposable cotton towels.

Note: When washing and drying the tiles, ensure not to rub the tile joints too deep Keep the grout moist for the first 2 days after application by spraying the joints with water to achieve the material’s full hardness properties.
