Vetonit Sport Putty
High performance, solvent-free, two-component, elastomeric polyurethane pore sealer.
Vetonit Sport Putty is a high performance, solvent-free, two-component, elastomeric polyurethane pore sealer, engineered specifically for indoor and outdoor sports surfaces. This innovative pore sealer delivers superior filling capacity with exceptional thixotropic properties, ensuring effortless application and a seamless finish.
Its low-fluidity filler structure enables easy application on a variety of substrates, providing excellent adhesion. Upon reaction, Vetonit Sport Putty forms a strong and elastic sealing layer, enhancing substrate uniformity to receive Vetonit Sport UL375 and subsequently Vetonit Sport UC374, to create a high performance multi-layer sports flooring system.

Uses
- Effectively fills pores and surface irregularities on indoor and outdoor sports flooring systems, ensuring a smooth and uniform finish.
- Ideal for use on surfaces made from concrete, asphalt, or rubberbased systems, providing excellent adhesion and durability.
- Can be applied directly to cast-in-situ cushion base layers made from wet pour (SBR rubber granules mixed with polyurethane binder) or prefabricated rolls.
Advantages
- Easy application.
- Superior filling capacity; fills small pores effectively.
- Minimal sagging or running on vertical or sloped surfaces.
- Elastomeric properties.
- Accommodates substrate movement.
- Resists cracking under stress.
- Maintains integrity during temperature fluctuations.
- Can be used on versatile porous subfloors.
Usage Instructions
The rubber mixture subfloor (Vetonit Sport PU Binder mixed with Vetonit Sport Shock Absorbent (SBR Granules)) should be sound, clean, and free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, or any other substance that might impair the product’s bond quality with the substrate.
In case of asphalt or concrete use industrial-grade vacuum cleaners and mechanical brushes to thoroughly clean the surface. If necessary, degrease the surface using appropriate cleaning agents to eliminate stubborn grease or oil stains.
Ensure the substrate is completely dry before application to prevent moisture-related bonding failures. Rising humidity or residual moisture in the substrate can affect the curing process of the material.
Vetonit Sport Putty is a two-component system comprising Part A (base) and Part B (hardener), which are pre-measured in fixed ratios and ready to be mixed on-site for application.
Thoroughly stir Part A (base) to incorporate any slight separation. While continuing to stir Part A, gradually add the contents of Part B (hardener). Continue stirring until a homogeneous mix is obtained. The mixed material must be used within 20-30 minutes of mixing at 25°C.
Periodically scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container using a trowel or spatula to ensure all material is evenly combined.
Vetonit Sport Putty can be applied using a flat metal trowel. Evenly spread the product ensuring proper distribution and filling of pores and small gaps in the subfloor.
If a second layer of Vetonit Sport Putty is required and more than 24 hours have passed since the application of the first layer, then sand the entire surface using a special sanding machine. Clean the sanded surface thoroughly to remove any contamination and apply the second layer.
Maintain the application temperature between 10°C and 40°C throughout the process.
Optimal curing occurs when ambient temperatures range between 10°C and 40°C.
The curing duration varies based on environmental factors and weather conditions. At a temperature of 25°C and 60% relative humidity, the curing time is approximately 24 hours.
Avoid foot traffic and placing heavy objects on the surface during the curing process.
Once cured, the product will form a strong and elastic seal, ready for subsequent layers of the multi-layer sports flooring system.
All tools should be cleaned with Vetonit Solvent XX400 immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
