Vetoblock Mortar AAC is a powder adhesive composed of hydraulic binders, bonding agents, selected aggregates, synthetic resins, and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site, which requires only the addition of clean water to produce easily workable mortar. Vetobock Mortar AAC is ideal for fixing autoclaved aerated concrete blocks & panels.
he AAC block/panel surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, etc.
Before the Vetoblock Mortar AAC application, wet the entire surfaces with clean potable water, and the surface should look damp at the time of the VetoBlock Mortar application.
Add to the mixing container 12.5 - 16 liters of clean water for 50Kg bag of Vetoblock Mortar AAC. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency.
Leave the mixed material to stand for 10min and briefly remix without adding water.
Blend Vetoblock Mortar AAC manually for small quantities and maintain the correct amount of powder to water. Mix for approximately 1-2 minutes, until achieving a homogeneous mix.
Neutralize the suction of the block surface with water before applying mortar. Remove any excess water.
Ensure that the first layer of blocks is fixed properly with perfect alignment.
Spread Vetoblock Mortar AAC with a trowel on the surface and joints where the blocks are mounted.
Apply Vetoblock Mortar AAC in a thin layer to enable the continuity of thermo-insulation of the blocks. Leave a space of about 2cm between the top of the block wall and the slab’s bottom or beam to avoid cracks along the wall. Fill this cavity with a compressible material.
If the blocks are laid directly on a floor with possible humidity rising, it is recommended to apply a proper damp course system first.
Clean all tools immediately after finishing by water. Clean the hardened materials mechanically.
