Vetoset CA544

The surface should be sound, clean, and free from loose material. Level horizontal surfaces and ensure that the vertical sides are perfectly plumb-in or secured (to guarantee a perfect glass block alignment). The support must be solid, compact, free from loose parts, dust, and greasy substances.

To prepare a mortar adhesive from Vetoset CA544, pour 6 - 6.8 liters of water (for each 20kg bag) into a container. Add the powder to the water then mix with a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until a uniform & lump-free consistency is achieved. 

Allow the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes then remix briefly without adding more water. Blend Vetoset CA544 manually for small quantities but make sure to maintain the correct ratio of powder:water. Use the mixed material within 2.5 hours minutes (at 25°C). 

Do not remix or add water to the mixture once the mortar adhesive begins to harden.

Apply Vetoset CA544 with a trowel, then position the glass blocks in the opening. Use a special molder to verify the alignment of the glass blocks. Remove any excess mortar before it hardens. 

For gap filling, compact the mixture using a smooth rubber spatula. Let the product harden for about 10 minutes; after that, clean the surface using a damp sponge. When the product is well hardened, clean it with a dry cloth. Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Remove hardened material mechanically.
